60th Year Message from General Director Halil Eroğlu…

Halil Eroğlu, Director General of TSKB spoke in the press conference held in honor of TSKB’s 60th year and said, “Turkey’s Industrial Development Bank was established on the Central Bank of the Turkish Republic’s and the World Bank’s initiative in the post-period of 2nd World War while Turkey was switching to multi-party system and in a growth potential. Many private banks, various chambers and non-governmental organizations, and big industrial companies contributed to the capital of TSKB. Until foreign currency was permitted in Turkey in 1980s, TSKB was the only institution providing Turkish private sector with long-term foreign-currency loan for financing fixed capital investments. When we look into the historical leadership of TSKB in supporting development of capital markets, another establishment mission of it, we see that TSKB had started trading company stocks before Istanbul Stock Exchange Market was established. Today, TSKB’s loans exist in the establishment of many big brands and private enterprises operating in various locations in Anatolia. Having a special mission, we continue undertaking a significant role in development of Turkish economy since that day. Due to our strong cooperation with supra-national financial organizations, we receive fund for development of our country and have provided continuous support to the increase of private sector. We contribute to increase in production and employment by providing loan to investment projects. We have created 30 thousand employments within the last five years. We have made significant developments in investment banking. We have introduced qualified products to Turkish finance world. With our sustainable banking mission and the support that we provide for renewable energy projects, we have invested in future of the country and we will continue to do that. As TSKB, we are proud of achieving those successes and taking firm steps forward to new targets.”
